#DancingDuringLockdownSA

With the Covid-19 virus affecting the world, our President Cyril Ramaphosa, took the serious decision of placing us into Lockdown, and last night (9 April 2020) our 3 week lockdown was extended to a 5 week lock down. This happened the night before Good Friday – and our Presidents words were as follows: “The message of Easter is one we carry in our hearts tonight. It is the message of HOPE, of REBIRTH. We shall RECOVER. We shall OVERCOME. MAY GOD BLESS SOUTH AFRICA AND PROTECT HER PEOPLE”

I am blessed enough to have the opportunity to continue my classes online with pre-recorded classes that are sent to our students – I am also blessed enough that my students and dancers are willing to undertake this strange way of learning, and that they are supportive and encouraging and SO willing to continue dancing. Dance for us, is indeed, therapy. And how blessed are we that we can continue

I pray that God shines His blessings on all of us through this scary and uncertain time – that we may stay focused and continue to focus on the good, on our faith, on healing, hope and recovery

May God bless each of you

A celebration of dance using Flamenco, Regional and classical Spanish dance to tell a love story – there’s a prince, a king, a stepmother, two grumpy stepsisters jealous of the beautiful Cinderella,  a Fairy dance mother, mice, friends, fight scenes, glittery shoes, champagne and so much more!

We’re hosting a Flamenco Course with Che Adams in July!

Che Adams has become a beautiful friend to us and we absolutely love learning from her. She has given one course in Pretoria, and has been a guest artist in two of our productions. Such a beautiful person, and an amazing dancer, she will once again be coming to teach us in an intense Flamenco Course from 4 to 7 July! Email me on info@mlmontoya.com for the prices and booking information. You don’t want to miss this!!
